Rhythmic gymnastics is the perfect sport to teach body awareness and control - skills that will assist in the development of athletic potential for any sporting endeavour. Rhythmic gymnastics combines dance and gymnastics with the use of hand apparatus - ball, hoop, ribbon, rope and clubs.
Rhythmic gymnastics offers diversity and the opportunity to:
- improve poise, balance and gracefulness
- develop confident body movement, for sport and life
- learn co-ordination and agility, for body awareness and balance
- enhance creativity and build self-confidence
- increase flexibility and strength and prepare the body for life's challenges

Our Rhythmic Beginner classes are suitable for gymnasts aged from 5 years. the gymnasts are introduced to the basics of hand held apparatus: rope, hoop, clubs, ball and ribbon, as well as free exercise. Gymnasts find this discipline visually stimulating and challenging.
Gymnasts within our levels classes prepare to pass their Level 1 to 10 under the Gymnastics Australia award scheme. Routines using hoop, rope, ball, clubs, ribbon and free exercise are prepared and assessed by qualified judges.
